Ubiterra Announces ZoneVu 6.7 with RigStream 2.0, Streamlined Data Loading, and Integrated Python Environment

Latest release reinforces Ubiterra’s reputation for listening to customers while steadily refining and expanding ZoneVu’s value in subsurface operations.

DENVER, Colorado — May 21, 2026 — Ubiterra today announced the release of ZoneVu Version 6.7, a major update to the company’s cloud-based geoscience, drilling, geosteering, and completions platform. The release introduces RigStream 2.0, significant improvements to LAS and multi-file data loading, enhanced geosteering and survey workflows, expanded project data export, and a new browser-based Python environment connected directly to ZoneVu.

ZoneVu 6.7 continues a clear progression across recent releases: as more operators use ZoneVu in active drilling, geosteering, and completions workflows, Ubiterra is converting customer feedback into practical improvements that make the platform easier to use, more reliable, and more valuable in the field.

At the center of the release is RigStream 2.0, a major update to ZoneVu’s real-time drilling data streaming workflows. RigStream 2.0 simplifies setup and management, improves Bottom Hole Assembly (BHA) workflows, supports the use of a single log across all BHAs, supports all depth curves including lag curves, and adds survey QC warnings within the updated Directional Survey tab. These enhancements are designed to improve data quality, reduce operational friction, and give teams better visibility during active drilling operations.

“ZoneVu 6.7 reflects one of Ubiterra’s core strengths: we listen carefully to how customers actually use the software,” said Peter Flanagan, CEO of Ubiterra. “RigStream 2.0 is a great example: the industry has long struggled to take full advantage of real-time rig data because BHA management can be complex and time-consuming. By simplifying that workflow, and by steadily turning customer feedback into practical improvements, each ZoneVu release raises the real-world utility of the platform for the operators who depend on it.”

Version 6.7 also streamlines a number of everyday data workflows across ZoneVu. The release improves LAS and bulk data loading, including multi-well LAS loading, automatic curve detection, drag-and-drop loading into Scene Control, and a unified import dialog for LAS, Bulk Well, and Top files. Geosteering, directional survey, visualization, Scene Snapshot, project folder, layer file, and Home Page workflows also receive targeted usability improvements that reduce repetitive steps and make ZoneVu easier to use during active operations.

A notable addition in ZoneVu 6.7 is the new in-browser Python environment connected to the user’s ZoneVu account. This capability allows customers to run Python scripts inside ZoneVu to support analytic, utility, and integration workflows using their own ZoneVu data. By bringing lightweight scripting directly into the application, ZoneVu gives technical teams a more flexible way to automate tasks, experiment with data, and extend the platform around customer-specific needs.

The release also expands project data export for core well data and adds built-in Texas Land Grid and Original Colony boundary map layers, further strengthening ZoneVu’s already robust GIS capabilities. ZoneVu Frac and correlation workflows also receive continued improvements. Together, these updates reinforce ZoneVu’s evolution as a practical, customer-driven operating platform for drilling, geosteering, completions, data management, GIS, and technical automation.
